Night out

This week our TY year went to Carlingford Adventure Center in Louth. On Monday we left the school at 7am and began a 2 hour journey to Carlingford. When we arrived we were welcomed by the staff members and given brief details about what we would be doing for the next 2 days. We were split into 2 groups and were sent off to our first activity of the day.
My first activity was kayaking in the lake. We were in teams of twos and set off on a swim around the lake. It was cold that morning so we didn't stay out for too long. For lunch we had chicken and chips I don't eat meat so they made a different meal for me which was nice.
After lunch we went to our second activity, mine was laser tag in the forest. We were given laser guns and put into teams. I was on the blue team. We played different games with the laser guns such as capture the flag and no mans land. Laser tag was definitely my favourite activity.
We had dinner and has 2 hours free time which most people spent eating. We were then called to the sports hall.
We went on a walk up the hills with two staff members Teddie and Keith. We were then blindfolded and sent on a walk with only a rope for guidance. I feel like 10 times. I was the leader which probably wasn't a great idea. We then walked back down to the center.

That night we stayed up all night playing on our Nintendos.

The next morning we were woken up at 7am to go to our first activity at 9am. My morning activity was canoeing. I usually hate canoeing but this time we did it in large groups and had a lot of fun playing games on the water trampoline.
We went back for food, which wasn't great then we did our next activity. Mine was a challenge course. I didn't think this was great because everyone was so tired from the night before. After this we packed, said goodbye to everyone and got on the bus back to Celbridge. It was a night and definitely a highlight of my TY experience!
